Using PTN for online promotion of your company is incredibly easy with online Web forms to input and update your company information. There is no need to know HTML! Just cut and paste text from a Word or Text document, then hit the Submit button to publish the information on the Internet.

Becoming a Member

We've made it easy for you to join PTN. To become a part of this technology community and get connected, apply online now. You will be issued a user ID and password to create your company profile and add other information to the site.

Logging on to PTN

You can log on to PTN by going to http://www.pacifictech.net and selecting LOG IN from the top right corner of the Web page. Then simply enter your user ID and password, and you're in!

Watch the black toolbar beside the LOG OUT button — it will show what you can do as you navigate the site:

  • ADMIN INDEX – list of all available member functions
  • ADD LISTING – add a listing to the current PTN area
  • EDIT/DELETE – edit or delete the currently displayed item

Adding, Updating, or Changing Your Company Information

To add, update, or change your company information, select Company Profile: Edit Profile from the ADMIN INDEX, input your changes and press Submit. Your Web page will be automatically updated.

Adding a Corporate Logo to Your Company Profile

To add a corporate logo to your company profile, email a JPEG or GIF file to info@pacifictech.net, quoting your company name and user ID. The maximum size for graphic files is 200 pixels in width.

Adding Contacts to Your Company Profile

To add contact names and email addresses to your company profile, select Contact Names: Add New from the ADMIN INDEX. Fill in the details and press Submit. Repeat this procedure for as many contacts as you wish to display.

Changing Your Password

To change your password, select Members: Edit My Profile from the ADMIN INDEX. Your member profile and contact information is located here. Enter any changes and Submit to update the information.

Publishing News, Articles, Events and Employment Opportunities on PTN

To post a news item, article, special event announcement or employment opportunity listing, choose one of these two methods:
  • Select the appropriate Add New option from the ADMIN INDEX, type in your information and press Submit.

  • Navigate to the area using the buttons on the left, then press the ADD LISTING button in the black toolbar at the top of the page. Type in your information and press Submit.
* Note: Some items/membership levels require editorial approval before they are posted live.

Editing Your News, Articles, Events and Employment Opportunities

To edit an existing news item, article, special event announcement or employment opportunity listing, choose one of these two methods:
  • Select the appropriate List/Edit option from the ADMIN INDEX. Select the item you wish to edit, then update your information and press Submit.

  • Navigate to the appropriate area using the buttons on the left. Find and select the item you wish to edit (by clicking the More... link.) Press the EDIT/DELETE button in the black toolbar at the top of the page, then update your information and press Submit.

    * Note: If the item does not have a More... link, click the small blue square at the end of the item to select it.

Deleting Your News, Articles, Events and Employment Opportunities

Follow either of the steps above for editing an item. When the editing form displays, look for the Delete checkbox beside the Clear Form button. Select this checkbox and then Submit the form.

Deleting an item is permanent. If you wish to disable an item temporarily, deselect the Active checkbox at the top of the form instead, then press Submit.

Making a News or Event Item "Profile Exclusive"

If you wish to post a news or event listing only to your company profile (not in the general PTN listings,) select the "To Appear In Company Profile Only" checkbox before submitting the form.
